Description
The STCW code (section A-V/2, paragraph 4) states that any person with responsibility for the safety of passengers in emergency situations on board passenger ships shall complete Crisis Management and Human Behaviour Training in accordance with their capacity, duties and responsibilities. This course addresses the main factors to be aware of in a crisis and the key measures you should deploy, such as how you assess and respond to a crisis using the resources available; how you cope with the stress involved; how you control large numbers of passengers and how you communicate effectively with them and your crew members. These measures can be worked into your existing emergency procedures and practice, ensuring you are as prepared as possible should a crisis ever arise on board ship.
On completion of this course you will receive a Certificate of Proficiency from Ocean Technologies Group, powered by Marlins, Seagull and Videotel.
Please note: This course must be completed onboard ship. The Master/senior officer onboard must sign and stamp your application form to verify they have directly supervised your eLearning assessment(s) and ship specific training.
