Description
One of the challenges the industry faces is the multiple number of ECDIS systems available in the market. Together with the ECDIS makers, Ocean Technologies Group has developed an easy way to complete your type specific ECDIS training.
This training module is designed to train navigators in the practical use of the Tokyo Keiki ECDIS and satisfy the requirement for ‘Equipment Specific ECDIS Training’. Tokyo Keiki confirms that this module will provide all necessary understanding and practical knowledge to use the Tokyo Keiki ECDIS system in a safe and efficient manner.
This course is intended for Officers sailing with models EC-9000 of the Tokyo Keiki. On completion of this course you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Ocean Technologies Group, powered by Marlins, Seagull and Videotel.
Please note: The assessment part of this course must be completed onboard ship or onshore in the offices of a registered shipping company or maritime institution. The Master/senior officer onboard or a senior official onshore must sign and stamp your application form to verify they have directly supervised your eLearning assessment(s).
What you'll learn
The objective of this course is to give the trainee equipment specific knowledge of the Tokyo Keiki ECDIS 9000 training model.

Prerequisites
Generic ECDIS Certificate, in accordance with IMO model course 1.27
Regulations
This course has been approved by Tokyo Keiki Inc. as Equipment Specific Training for Tokyo Keiki ECDIS 9000 model.
This training is in accordance with the ISM Code Section 6.3 and 6.5
