Description

STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) is required by all seafarers in deck, engine and hotel departments before they start their shipboard duties.  

Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) is required under the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) for all new entrants before they are assigned any shipboard duties forming part of the basic safety training required for joining ship. 

This training complies with Regulation VI/1, paragraph 1 and Section A-VI/1, paragraph 2.1.4 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended, including new amendments required by 1st January 2026 covering; bullying and sexual harassment.

This course is approved by Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA)

This course is divided into two parts. The learning part may be completed online from any location. The assessment part must be completed under direct supervision at a Marlins Approved Test Centre*

On completion of this course you will receive a Certificate of Proficiency from OneOcean, powered by Marlins, Seagull and Videotel
